We survived the storm with flickering lights and some water in our basement. Our hearts go out to those up north that did not fare as well, and we hope everyone will support the relief effort.

Playing House: Happy Fall!

We have been enjoying the fall weather around here these days and are gearing up for our first Halloween in the house.

1. One of my favorite seasonal decorations, corn on the front door. / 2. Our backyard. Still haven't raked, but maybe soon? / 3. We finally finished fixing up our front steps and can actually sit on them now. Halloween was a good motivator for that project. / 4. Just a few of our many pumpkins and colorful mums.

Tonight we are hunkering down in anticipation of Hurricane Sandy and thanking ourselves for making the new roof a priority.
