Painted Curtains Project

A couple of months ago, I got this idea to hand paint curtains for our new dining room. I bought some cheap ikea curtains and some fabric paint. Here's how they turned out:

Playing House: Part 1

After closing on our house a week ago, Tim and I have jumped into our real life version of "Playing House." There is a ton to be done to our bungalow before we move in so we are taking things as they come, learning as we go. This week we picked out shingles for our new roof (quite a tough decision), cut the lawn, started stripping wallpaper and painting. We also made our first few big trips to Home Depot as homeowners, and let me tell you, it definitely has a different feel now. It has become a candy store for me—full of fabulous ideas.
