This method of using custom typography to market a town has been utilized by small cities in Europe for years. And it only seems natural in a place like Chattanooga, home to two of the world's practicing typeface designers. Chatype, a "geometric slab serif" font, will appear throughout the city (on street signs, police cars, etc.) and will be available for local businesses to download.
The campaign sounds genius and I can't wait to see how it all pans out. Plus, I'm already taken with the font and their marketing materials (see below). Well done, Chattanooga.
