With Tim's love of beer + brewing and my love for modern design + typography, I'm pretty sure these Single Hop Project prints were made for us. Designed by an anonymous group of DC-based artists (the Committee on Opprobriations), each poster pays homage to a beer hop variety through vibrant and educational designs. I say "educational" because each design includes the hop's country of origin, the commercial release date and lists the percentages of the alpha, beta and cohumulone acids. The idea is to create a visual for each hop, which will help novice brewers and beer drinkers (like me!) to remember the distinctions between varieties. I'm hoping to learn a thing or two from the prints we picked out for our dining room.
