Annie Leibovitz's "Pilgrimage"

A few weeks ago we stopped by the Smithsonian American Art Museum to see Annie Leibovitz's Pilgrimage exhibit. Though a definite change from her standard portraiture, the images were stunning. Her colors are rich and captivating, even with a subject as simple as leaves from John Muir's collection of botanical specimen.

My obvious favorites were the photos taken at Georgia O'Keefe's home and museum in Santa Fe. If I had to chose one, it would be the collection of O'Keefe's homemade pastels as it is a colorful glimpse into the artist's world.
